Aloha, Class of ’72 Voyagers!
We launched our 50th Reunion celebration with a weekend of good times and great company on the Valley Isle, June 2-5, 2022. The oceanfront Ka‘anapali Beach Hotel under the management of Mike White (Punahou ’67) was our Maui headquarters.
A general itinerary is provided below, but plan on daily fellowship opportunities and optional group activities such as a day in Upcountry Maui with wine-tasting and farm tour, sunset dinner, and golf at one of Maui’s magnificent courses. Or strike out on your own adventure such as a visit to Haleakala National Park (sunrise access requires NPS reservation), a zipline thrill, hiking or just hang out at Ka‘anapali Beach and enjoy the awesome snorkeling, SUP lesson or an outrigger canoe paddling tour.
Check out this link Maui Attractions | Ka’anapali Beach Hotel or surf on over to your favorite travel website and get stoked about our Maui weekend!

Voyager Dinner at Huihui Restaurant
Ka‘anapali Beach Hotel, time TBA
This newly opened beachfront restaurant pays homage to the tradition of Hawaiian wayfinding. The menu offers a modern interpretation of Hawaiian cooking methods. Meaning “star constellation” or “to join, intermingle, mix,” Huihui is a perfect place to gather in celebration of our voyage home to Punahou.

Morning:
The Waihe‘e Coastal Dunes and Wetlands Refuge is a 277-acre cultural and wildlife refuge on Maui’s northwest coast. Enjoy a guided hike as you learn the ancestral stories of this special place, from the time before people arrived on our islands to current efforts by Hawai‘i Land Trust (HILT) to steward this land. The hike is not strenuous, but there are some rocky areas and it can get hot. It usually takes 2-1/2 to 3 hours to complete the 2-mile tour. Full-day participants will be provided box lunches to eat on the way to Upcountry Maui for the afternoon adventures (or return to hotel for half-day option).

Afternoon:
Travel up to Olinda on the slopes of Haleakala to visit the small animal farm of classmate Whitney Foster White where you can meet her adorable miniature donkeys and soak in panoramic views of Haleakala and the West Maui Mountains (pictured above). We then head to Ulupalakua Ranch and MauiWine to enjoy a private wine-tasting and tour before returning to the hotel.
