Aloha 1972 classmates, and welcome to the beginning of a unique voyage home to Punahou!
Many enthusiastic and talented classmates – near and far – have come together over Zoom and in person to create what we hope will be a fulfilling and fun journey for all! Our 50th Reunion theme is inspired by the voyaging canoe Hokule‘a and the renaissance of Polynesian ocean voyaging throughout the Pacific.
No matter what your experience was all those many years ago, we are calling you home to this very special school where we were launched into our adult lives. Five decades later, we will unite and reconnect for fun, memories and sharing of our lives. We also return to say mahalo to Punahou and pay it forward with our class gift. This will be momentous!
To celebrate together we have planned exciting events and get-togethers that will put us in a double hull canoe of experiences. One hull for each other and one for Punahou. We’ll share the “voyages” of life beyond Punahou as well as laughter and joy from our school years. Maybe even some reconciliation of that chapter.
Whatever it brings to you, come be part of this 10-day event that kicks off with a weekend on Maui and then a week-long Reunion Week on Oahu, culminating with the big Punahou Alumni Luau on Saturday June 11.
E ho‘i hou i Punahou, our motto, means Let’s return to Punahou. We invite each of you – everyone an indelible member of our ’72 ohana – to join this voyage home to Punahou.
We beckon you from the bow of our themed vessel, to our island home from across many seas and continents. Come aboard and paddle with us for a brief moment of reconnection and fun!
E ho‘i hou i Punahou! – Let’s return to Punahou!
